‘Slumdog,’ Sean Penn and Kate Winslet Take Top Oscars
Producers of the Oscar’s presented a new format this year kicking things off with Hugh Jackman, People’s Sexiest Man Alive, doing some song and dance routines to highlight the top films
Hugh Jackman, People’s Sexiest Man Alive, came out strong as the host of the 81st Academy Awards, doing a parody on the economy and forming a song and dance routine around the top films.
The new format also included previous oscar winners each giving a little speech about the current nominee and Queen Latifah singing while clips of entertainers lost played on the screen.
While celeb bloggers around the world were highly anticipating a meeting of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, that didn’t seem to happen. I’m not sure if they were expecting the world’s first Red Carpet Cat Fight, but we’ll have to wait for the next shindig for that.
The highlight, in my opinon, was James Franco and Seth Rogen’s pre-recorded video mocking the films of 2008. If they hosted the Oscars, you’d really draw in a crowd. As soon as the YouTube video is available, I’ll post it.
