The Cast of Friends – Where Are They Now?

TV Series Friends was wildly popular from 1994 to 2004 and launched the careers of its stars. For a decade they were some of the most well-known actors and actresses in Hollywood being nominated for a combined 63 Emmy Awards and earning the cast, at the end, a whopping $1 million an episode.

The series revolves around a group of friends (Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Joey and Rachel) in the area of Manhattan, New York City, who occasionally live together and share living expenses.

So what happened to them after the final credits rolled on May 6, 2004?

Courteney Cox Arquette
Courtney Cox played Monica Geller Bing. Courtney married Scream co-star David Arquette and they have a daughter, CoCo. After Friends, she was Marc Cherry’s first choice to play Susan Meyer on Desperate Housewives, but had to decline because of her pregnancy. She went on to do a few films, create and star in Dirt, and play a recurring role on Scrubs. Scream 4 is in the works, and Cox will star in the upcoming ABC pilot Cougar Town. She plays a newly-single 40-year-old single mom.

Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston played Rachel Green. Since Friends, she’s been a major object of the paparazzi following her very public divorce with Brad Pitt. She dated Vince Vaughn for a while, and had an on-again-off-again relationship with John Mayer, which recently ended…again. She’s kept busy on film with such flicks as The Break Up, He’s Just Not That Into You, Marley and Me and the upcoming The Baster.

David Schwimmer
David Schwimmer played Ross Geller. David has dipped into film and stage work since the end of Friends with a role in Big Nothing, Nothing But the Truth, and Madagascar on the big screen and various London stage plays.  He directed the British comedy Run Fatboy Run. He’s said to be dating a female photography, but will not divulge her name. He’s also an active advocate for race, chid abuse and women’s rights. He is an active director of the Rape Treatment Center in Santa Monica, where they specialize in helping victims of date rape, and child rape victims.

Matthew Perry
Matthew Perry played Chandler Bing. Matthew has kept busy since Friends, with the TV movie The Ron Clark Story, Numb, Birds of America, TV Series The End of Steve and the upcoming 17 Again with Zac Efron. He made his directorial debut on an episod of Scrubs, was a guest star on The West Wing, and starred in the short-lived Stuido 60 on the Sunset Strip. He’s rumored to be dating Elizabeth Reaser, of Twilight and Grey’s Anatomy.

Lisa Kudrow
Lisa Kudrow played Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan Lisa starred as Valerie Cherish on HBO’s The Comeback in 2005. She was also the co-creator, writer and executive producer for the show, and received an Emmy nomination for the role. She is married to French Advertising exec Michel Stern and they have 1 child. Though she’s been quiet the past few years, she’s got several projects on the books including Hotel For Dogs, 17 Photos of Isabel, Powder Blue, Bandslam, Paper Man, Love & Other Impossible Pursuits and Dirty Girl.

Matt LeBlanc
Matt LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani. Matt tried to continue his success as Joey from friends with his own sitcom, Joey, that lasted two years. He started a production company, Fort Hill Productions, that produced made-for-tv movie The Prince in 2006.

It is hard to keep up with all of the gossip on Hollywood’s royal couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. A few weeks back, the rumor mill had Angelina catching Brad in a compromising position with the nanny. She reportedly kicked him out of the bedroom and has been keeping her distance.

InTouch and Star tabloids are now saying that AJ’s brother, James Haven, has moved in to the Pitt/Jolie household to try and save the marraige.

“Angie is still very angry over the nanny thing,” an insider tells Star. “Right now, the separate bedrooms arrangement seems to be the best thing for them. Brad doesn’t want to face her cold fury every night.”

So what’s in store for the couple and their 6 kids? Guess only time will tell. Get the popcorn and stay tuned.

Josh Hartnett tummy has been giving him some trouble lately, and Monday he had a flare-up that sent him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for observation. The star, on a break from performing the stage version of Rain Man in London, was in Hollywood this week when he began having abdominal pains. He has apparently been suffering from a gastrointestinal problem for several months.

Super Rush Hour

Comedian Chris Tucker was arrested in April 2005 and charged with reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not immediately pull over his speeding 2005 Bentley.  Chris Tucker has a Bentley?! Anyway, Tucker spent about 30 minutes in a McDuffie County lockup before posting bond and being released. According to cops, the “Rush Hour” star, an Atlanta native, was doing 109 mph on Interstate 20 when clocked by state troopers.

After his heyday with Sha Na Na, Bauman was a VJ on the music channel VH-1 during its first two years. He also hosted the Hollywood Squares half of the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour. The Grey’s Anatomy Rumor mill is operating at full-capacity lately. In the latest installation of the side drama, Katherine Heigl denies she wanted out of her contract and insists even she doesn’t know if her character, Dr. Izzie Stephens, will survive her bout with cancer.

Heigl said, “I’m there” if Izzie remains part of Grey’s Anatomy, for which she has starred since it debuted in 2005. She called the set “one of my favorite places to be” and said her colleagues are also friends.
