I’m sure there are die-hard Jackson fans who know who Rebbie Jackson is, but I had not heard of her until now. For those who don’t know about her she is the oldest of Joe and Katherine Jackson’s children.
Rebbie has been married to her childhood sweetheart, Nathaniel Brown, since 1968. Together they raised three children, Stacee (born in 1971), Yashi (born in 1977) and Austin (in 1985). All three have music careers.
Rebbie had a moderately successful musical career, releasing four albums, and doing some live performances in the late 90s. In 1998, after the release of her fourth album, Yours Faithfully, she retired from the music scene.
Rebbie seems to be the level-headed Jackson and the glue that, at times, has kept the family together. She and her husband live in a relatively modest (by Jackson standards) four bedroom home in celebrity community, Agoura Hills, which is near Malibu.
It is being reported that if Katherine Jackson is given custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket it will be Rebbie who will be the one primarily responsible for raising them. Something that the rest of the Jackson clan, although divided on many issues, all agree on. And, best of all, the kids adore her. It would seem that these three children, whose lives have been pretty unstable, will finally be in a safe and constant environment.
