Kelly McGillis Comes Out
Putting an end to the gay rumors, actress Kelly McGillis confirmed to net mag GirlRock! that she’s a lesbian.
In response to the question of if she’s looking to date a man or woman, the actress, 51, replied, “Definitely a woman.”
McGillis, best known for her lead role in Top Gun with Tom Cruise, opened up about her struggle to come to terms with her sexuality, saying “”an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12. I had a lot of things happen that convinced me that God was punishing me because I was gay.”
She was raped in 1982 in New York.
