Newsflash: There are GAY contestants on American Idol!

Will pictures of American Idol contestant Adam Lambert kissing another guy and dressed in drag hurt his chances? Probably. Idol audiences tend to shy away from anything racy, such as season six’s racy pics of Antonella Barba and season 2′s Frenchie Davis topless pics (she was disqualified.)

While it’s likely Lambert was hoping to take home the record contract THEN get a People magazine cover announcing his sexuality, looks like someone beat him to the punch. He may just have to settle for 12th place and the front page of VoteForTheWorst.com.

It doesn’t matter what his sexual orientation is. It has nothing to do with his talent or ability to perform. It’s only a disappointment to all of the women out there, because he’s a very handsome, charismatic man! People should vote for him because of his talent. Those who don’t vote for him because of his sexual orientation should get their heads out of their ***** and get into the year 2009. Look at people such as Elton John – he’s gay and is an amazing performer! BTW, I’m a straight woman!

I really didn’t know Adam was gay. I’m sure alot of young girls out there are really disappointed. But he still has great talent and is gonna go far. I love his singing and I will be the first to buy his CD when it comes out.

People didnt know know he was gay? Being gay is not a crime (& its not like there arent plenty of gays in show business, outed or not), so this wont stop him from winning. What may stop him from winning is his opponent, a very talented unique musician, Kris Allen, who made it to the finals based on his strengths as well.
