In case anyone missed the latest Jackson news coverage due to the 4th of July holiday, here is a brief (well, maybe not really “brief”, but surely informative) summary:
1-Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, former friend and spiritual advisor to Jackson, stated that although he knew, first hand, that Jackson was heavily addicted to prescription drugs and that he had been accused of child molestation he was “an extremely responsible father”. Huh?
2-Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who took 30 minutes to find a phone to call 911 and was giving Jackson CPR while Jackson was on a bed (not the floor where he should have been) says he didn’t give Jackson Demerol or OxyContin on the day he died, but would not say he didn’t give him Propofol. Hmmmm.
3-Peter King, Republican Congressman from New York, says that Jackson was a “pervert” and a “low-life” who society is “glorifying” while not recognizing the contributions of police, firefighters, teachers, volunteers and vets. Not to say he isn’t right, but, depending on the number of Jackson fans in his congressional district, he may have a tough time getting re-elected.
4-Rev. Al Sharpton called for “love vigils” to be held in churches, community centers, schools (oh, just everywhere) on Tuesday when there will be a public memorial service for Jackson. All You Need Is Love…da dada dada….All You Need Is Love
5-Another medical emergency required EMTs to be called to the Jackson family home. Fortunately, it wasn’t any members of the family that required medical attention. It was a 13-year-old girl who was part of a crowd assembled outside the home. Evidently she fainted and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Condition unknown.
6-Debbie Rowe, “Queen of Tastelessness”, F-bombs a Chinese restaurant. Seems she was surrounded by paparazzi when she came out of a Chinese restaurant and screamed at one poor soul who got too close, “Are you ready to get your butt kicked? Don’t f***ing touch me”. I feel it’s just those qualities that will make her a fine mother. Don’t you?
7-It appears there will be a tug-of-war between John Branca, John McClain and 79 year old grandmother Katherine Jackson over just who should have control of Jackson’s estate. The WILL names Branca and McCllain as co-executors but Katherine Jackson’s lawyer got a judge to name Katherine as temporary administrator. The court order expires today. Let the games begin!
8-Last, and possibly least: Los Angeles would “love” a contribution from the Jackson family to help with the cost of Tuesday’s memorial service. They haven’t heard from the family regarding their request. Maybe the city can pass the hat at Rev. Sharpton’s “love vigils”
