Is this the real Hugh Jackman? Nope. It’s a wax figure which was commissioned by Twentieth Century Fox to stir up interest in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine DVD and Blueray Disc coming out on September 15th. The figure will make a five-city tour here in the US. Its first stop will be in Washington D. C. (Aug.31-Sept1), then Philadelphia (Sept 2), New York (Sept 3-7) Dallas (Sept 10-11) and, finally, Los Angeles, (Sept 14-15). Hopefully, it will be travelling in a refrigerated vehicle or by the time it arrives in Los Angeles it will be a mere puddle of itself.
One of “Wolverine’s” powers is the ability to rapidly heal himself (itself?) from any wound, disease or toxin. I’m doubtful this particular rendering of the Wolverine would be able to recover from a lighted match.
By the way, did you know that real wolverines are of the weasel family and have a heavyset body, short legs, dark fur, and a bushy tail and are also called a skunk bear. A far cry from the X-Men version. I think Grizzly Adams would have been better suited for the part.
You fans of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine are going to have to wait until sometime in 2011 for the sequel. But all you Hugh Jackman fans will be ecstatic to know he is scheduled to appear in a film co-starring..da da dada..Robert Pattinson. How sexy is that combination?! The film, which is in pre-production, is called Unbound Captives and it is, of all things, a western. Very interesting. A Brit and an Aussie doing an American western. And, for anyone living in, or visiting, New York City Jackman and the newest “James Bond”, Daniel Craig, will be appearing on Broadway in a two man play titled A Steady Rain, with an opening date of September 29th and running through December 6th.
Well, I don’t want to leave you with a waxen Hugh Jackman so feast you eyes below.
LeAnn Rimes is married to Dean Sheremet. Eddie Cibrian is married to Brandi Glanville. Rimes is having a very open affair with Cibrian. Dean Sheremet is moving from the Nashville home he and Rimes shared to New York City to make a fresh start after his seven year marriage to Rimes has crumbled. And he’s taking the dogs with him, thank you very much. Glanville isn’t ready for a fresh start because she needs to vent, and loudly. Rimes and Cibrian will now be able to continue their lives together without those pesky spouses in the way.
Sheremet is keeping a low profile about his failed marriage saying only, “Thanks to everyone for all the support through a very difficult time.”
Glanville, on the other hand, is being very vocal and venomous saying, among other things, “Eddie is a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker. And he has been an absentee father. Eddie’s displays of poor taste have hurt our two children. Eddie may just end up drowning himself in that ‘unfair fishbowl’”. Yowza!
Better to keep quiet and get on with your life or vent your anger publicly? Different strokes for different folks.
I realize this site is called EveryLovesAScandal! and there is always plenty of
nerve jangling, hair raising, eye popping, jaw dropping happenings in the world of the famous and infamous to write about. But there are also celebrities making contributions to help improve conditions throughout the world. Some celebrities, like Brad Pitt, Bono, Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg are well-know for their charitable involvements. But there are thousands of lesser known celebrity fundraisers that should be reported on in an effort to make these men and women and the charities they support better known.
Take David Arquette for instance. For eight hours a day on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 14th and 15th Arquette will stay in a plastic box that will sit atop the Madison Square Garden Marquee. His reason for this? To raise $250,000 for Feeding America, the world’s largest hunger relief charity. Sitting in a plastic box in July in New York City is pretty courageous, in my opinion, and I hope the financial goal is reached.
Arquette, among many celebrities, also supports Hillsides, a charity which provides safe, stable places for Southern California children in crisis and advocates for children’s rights; The Lunchbox Fund which helps provide food to disadvantaged children; and, Food Bank For New York City. Thanks, David Arquette, for helping to make our world a better place!
Farrah Fawcett, golden girl of the 70’s, will be laid to rest today in a private funeral to be attended only by family and friends. Ryan O’Neal, her long time companion, was in charge of the arrangements. The couple’s son, Redmond, who is going through extensive drug therapy in a California prison, will be allowed to attend her funeral.
O’Neal, who had proposed marriage to Fawcett many times over the years finally got a “Yes” from her. Sadly, she died before the marriage ceremony could be performed. After she died, O’Neal is quoted as saying, “She gone. She now belongs to the ages”. “I told her how very much I loved her. She’s in a better place now”
In the wake of other celebrity deaths Fawcett’s passing due to a hard fought battle with cancer seems to have been overshadowed. That is a shame.
She is described by close friends as mischievous, daring, competitive, and with great wit. Close friend Joan Dangerfield, widow of comedian Rodney Dangerfield, said she faced her 2 1/2 year battle with cancer with grace. She stated, “She (Fawcett) remained kind and strong and funny even in the face of this vicious enemy. That is a lovely tribute to a beautiful woman.
OK. Maybe Jennifer Aniston has had several relationships since her split with former husband Brad Pitt. That sure looked like the perfect couple in the perfect marriage, on the outside anyway. Aniston is beautiful, sexy, talented, smart and able to make fun of her past relationships. She certainly didn’t deserve the crack Chelsea Handler made on the night Aniston received Women in Film’s Crystal Award for expanding the role of women in the entertainment industry. Handler remarked , “You also stopped expanding the visibility of John Mayer, and we all thank you for that”. How tacky!
There are current rumors about a possible relationship developing between Aniston and Bradley Cooper. He’s certainly handsome and presumable talented, but who knows if he is the man Aniston deserves. If not, she will definitely find someone worthy of her. Maybe by looking outside the box.
Chace Crawford has been chosen People Magazine’s number one Hottest Bachelor. Just take a look at the pictures above and you can see why the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is so true. And two must be worth twice as much? Seems he is a nice guy, too. Chace took younger sister, Candice, and some friends to a night out at LAVO. How hot is that?
Crawford, the Gossip Girl heart throb, took over the role of “Ren McCormack” in a remake of 1984 film Footloose after Zac Efron dropped out. In the original film “Ren McCormick” was played by actor Kevin Bacon. Bacon’s wife, Kyra Sedgwick, says Crawford is “very sweet” but that he “has big shoes to fill”. Loved the original Footloose and can’t wait to see the new one.
World famous forensic pathologist Michael Baden has stated that from findings at the autopsy and evidence examined so far, David Carradine did not commit suicide. The exact cause of death is still undetermined. Crime lab examinations and toxicology studies are still being performed in Thailand, where Carradine died.
Carridine’s family believes he was killed by an underworld martial arts group that he was trying to expose and not that he committed suicide. The family has hired their own doctors to investigate this tragic death. It has been reported that the FBI will conduct an investigation of their own.
David Carradine, 72, was found earlier this morning by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body. Reports state he was “hanged in his luxury hotel room and is believed to have committed suicide.”
Carradine is probably best known for his roles in the movies Kill Bill as well as the 1970s TV show Kung Fu.
Fox News contacted movie producer Chuck Binder who said his death is “shocking and sad. He was full of life, always wanting to work… a great person.”
It looks like the new Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor movie may be in trouble because of graphic gay sex scenes. ‘I Love Phillip Morris’ is a love story between two prison cellmates. The movie, based on a true story, features a hot and heavy graphic gay sex scene. Though they haven’t had trouble finding distributors in Europe, the US is proving elusive. They campaigned at the Sundance Film Festival in January, but no luck. If they can’t secure a US distributor the film may go straight to DVD.
In case you haven’t heard, there are all kinds of rumors abound that country singer-turned actress LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are having an affair. Us Magazine even released this video:
The problem is all the video and all of the gossip on Us Mag is surrounded by ads for Lifetime’s Northern Lights starring…guess who? LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. As I’ve blogged many times, I believe this is a new trend for celebrities and now maybe even networks: create a fake scandal for all of us gossip bloggers out there.
This one may have backfired on Rimes, though, with her husband Dean Sheremet’s family and friends lining up to say he’s gay! (see below.)
