Jon & Kate Plus 8 will be Kate Plus 8 from now on. Jon Gosselin was eliminated from the picture by TLC. According to Eileen O’Neill, TLC’s President and GM, the “recent changes in the family dynamic” call for the show to be recalibrated and refreshed to “keep pace with the family”.
After watching several episodes of the show, pre-split, and seeing how Kate treated Jon, I was certainly more in Jon’s corner than Kate’s. That is, until Jon’s pre-midlife meltdown. I’ve seen kids who grew up in extradordinarily strict homes go off the deep end once they were able to get out from under. That’s what Jon’s behaviors resemble. His actions are so opposed to the quiet, humble and, yes, henpecked man we saw on the series you might wonder if he has an “evil” twin.
But the surprises keep coming, because after the announcement that he wouldn’t be on the show after November, Jon made a statement saying, “I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated. I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon”. Poor judgment? How about lack of consideration for anyone but yourself? It is alleged that he has filed papers to delay the divorce for 90 days. What’s with that? Hard to know. Or not.
O’Neill has also confirmed that the network is “in development for a Kate project for 2010” which, by the way, is not connected to the talk show that Kate is supposedly planning to do. Waaaay too much Kate. I don’t see her as a good interviewer, so, after the first couple of airings where she will certainly talk about life with and without Jon there will not be much more of interest. And between her speaking engagements, book promotions, TLC’s “Kate project” and a talk show how much time will she have to be a mom to eight little kids. I think the Gosselin’s would most likely have accumulated enough bucks for both of them to step away from the limelight for a while and just concentrate on their children. When the kids are grown Jon and Kate can do whatever the hell they want.

LeAnn Rimes is married to Dean Sheremet. Eddie Cibrian is married to Brandi Glanville. Rimes is having a very open affair with Cibrian. Dean Sheremet is moving from the Nashville home he and Rimes shared to New York City to make a fresh start after his seven year marriage to Rimes has crumbled. And he’s taking the dogs with him, thank you very much. Glanville isn’t ready for a fresh start because she needs to vent, and loudly. Rimes and Cibrian will now be able to continue their lives together without those pesky spouses in the way.
Sheremet is keeping a low profile about his failed marriage saying only, “Thanks to everyone for all the support through a very difficult time.”
Glanville, on the other hand, is being very vocal and venomous saying, among other things, “Eddie is a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker. And he has been an absentee father. Eddie’s displays of poor taste have hurt our two children. Eddie may just end up drowning himself in that ‘unfair fishbowl’”. Yowza!
Better to keep quiet and get on with your life or vent your anger publicly? Different strokes for different folks.

According to Jon Gosselin he was at their estate during his custody time with the children when Kate Gosselin showed up and wanted to come in. Well, seeing as it was Kate, I suppose she demanded to come in. Anyway, Jon said no, Kate called the cops, cops said it was a civil matter and they would have to work it out themselves, cops left, Kate left .
Jon said Kate didn’t like the babysitter he hired to watch the kids while his portion of whatever their is show is called now was being taped. He said he didn’t know what her beef was with the baby sitter but he thought it was because Kate didn’t have prior approval of his choice. That sounds about right.
The photo above was taken the day after the “incident” when they “reunited” to talk things over, with five of their kids in attendance. It seems obvious this was not a friendly discussion and I wonder whether either of them have any idea what effect this head-on collision is having on their children. I don’t doubt they love the kids but, right now anyway, it’s all about them with seemingly no regard for their kids. I think if they really were concerned about the welfare of their eight children they would cut the show and both step out of the public eye and help their children to cope with this.
Divorce always has an effect on the children of a marriage, and, it effects different children in different ways. In this case there are eight children involved in a very public, nasty divorce. How much time are these two self-centered people giving to helping each of these eight kids deal with this? I’m thinking nowhere near enough.

Happier Days
The Gosselin’s marriage is over, but Jon and Kate seem determined to salvage whatever part of their relationship they can so both can parent their eight young children. There seems to be so many opinions as to what went wrong. One is that Kate is a controlling bitch. She does appear to be very controlling and harsh and sometimes moody. She admits she is hard on Jon.
Of course, there is the whole “Jon cheated” scenario, although Jon has always denied he has and Kate has never said he has been unfaithful, just that he has made poor choices.
Having a production crew in your home on a daily basis, filming your family life with all its warts would have to be rough on a marriage, to say nothing of the fact that having eight small children doesn’t leave much time for any couple to be a couple.
Kate is domineering, moody, outgoing, wants to travel and be in the public eye, while Jon is quiet, likes to be home and is very private. The combination would be difficult for any two people to sustain, let alone two people living under these circumstances. It seems highly possible that the Gosselin marriage would have ended even without all the children and hullabaloo.

It seems that Samanta Ronson, Lindsay Lohan’s ex-girl went all the way to London to try and get away for a little party time with her brother Mark Ronson and his girlfriend, Tennesse Thomas. Lindsay showed up at Bungalow 8 where they were having a good time. Soon after, Ronson and her group left.
Lindsay then followed them to the west london hotel where Ronson was staying. Lindsay can be seen here storming away as she was once again rejected. Looks like she should have stayed in the States where she wouldn’t look a stalker!

Seems like just yesterday that we heard about the big messy divorce on deck of Mel Gibson. Shortly after the break-up was made public, Mel was hitting the red carpets with Oksana Grigorieva. Now TMZ is reporting she’s pregnant with the super star’s baby.

Sean Penn Files for Legal Separation
Sean Penn and Robyn Wright Penn
Oscar-winner Sean Penn filed for a legal separation from wife Robin Wright Penn Friday. The had legally separated previously, in 2007, but reconciled a few months later.
Penn and Wright have been married since April 27, 1996 and they have two children, Dylan and Hopper Jack.

Lindsay and Sam Back On Again?

Lindsay Lohan took to the Ellen Degeneres airwaves Thursday to talk about her recent breakup with DJ Samantha Ronson, but was seen entering Ronson’s LA Home later last night. She didn’t emerge for 6 hours. Ronson also changed her Facebook relationship status to “It’s Complicated.”
On Ellen, Lindsay said the break up took her completely by surprise, and while she didn’t outright say she wanted Sam back, she certainly didn’t indicate it was over for good.
Did anyone think the break up would be permanent anyway?

Lindsay Lohan
Rumor has it the recently-dumped Lindsay Lohan may be giving up her lesbian ways and picking up the hunt for a new boy toy. She’s recently been spotted with 90210’s Kellan Lutz and UK paparazzo Chris Jepson.

On April 15, Lohan and Jepson were inseparable at a Hollywood Hills house party. According to a spy, they even went into a bathroom together and didn’t come out for quite some time.
Friends fear that Lohan is in a “meltdown” situation and has no career to fall back on.
Lohan, who can’t get an acting gig because of her antics and the high cost of insuring her, is said to be interested in joining the burlesque “Peepshow” at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The show stars former Spice Girl Melanie Brown (Mel B/Scary Spice) as mistress of ceremonies Peep Diva, while Kelly Monaco is Bo Peep, the Diva’s timid protégé. Lohan joined the duo backstage after catching the show Saturday night and approached the director about a part, which would require her to appear topless.

In the new issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, Hulk Hogan says he understands where OJ Simpson was coming from. Simpson was found liable for killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ronald Goldman in 1995.
“I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat,” said Hogan.
You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater [Florida] and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife…” Hogan tells Rolling Stone.
“I totally understand OJ. I get it.”
