In related news, apparently Daddy Lohan was attacked outside his Santa Monica home last night. He thinks it was an attempt to keep him away from the hearing this morning, but no dice. It did, however, give him the excuse to break his self-imposed media moratorium to discuss the attack. Dude went about 36 hours without talking to the press. Hey, its a start!

It has been a rough month for newly awarded Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. Shortly after she snagged the award for best actress for her role in Blind Side, allegations stated coming up that hubby Jesse James had been cheating. And the kept on coming. The count of Jesse James mistresses is up to four now. Jesse James has headed to a treatment center in Arizona, Seirra Tucson, for sex addition and Sandra Bullock has moved out. Sierra Tucson is the same rehab center where Tiger Woods spent time.Why is it that whenever a celebrity gets busted for something they think that going to rehab will absolve them?

“Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage,” his rep said in a statement.

Today, there was a moving truck in front of the Bullock/James residence and reports that Sandra Bullock has hired the same divorce attorney that Charlie Sheen, Michale Jackson and Heather Locklear have used.

Damn, there seem to be all kinds of new sex tapes out there: J Lo, Shauna Sand and Carrie Prejean. Well, the Carrie Prejean tape isn’t really a sex tape, but more of a masturbation tape, so I’ve read. Doesn’t seem likely that we’ll ever see it as she said she was 17 when it was shot. SCOTT DISICK NOT SMILING 

Is it just me or does anyone else think Scott Disick is very, very creepy?  I couldn’t find any pictures of him smiling and looking happy and believe me I searched.  No smile and a very blank look in his eyes.  Is he bored or trying to think of ways to get out from under the whole Kourtney and daddy thing or is he just vacant?
On the other hand, Kourtney is always grinning like the Cheshire Cat.  Must be because she and the cheating loser she broke up with are back together and are going to have a baby.  Yikes!!
I really wonder if Disick see a reflection when he looks in the mirror.

A “private” funeral service was held this morning at Forest Lawn Cemetery for the family and close friends of Michael Jackson.  After an approximate half hour service Jackson’s gold casket was loaded back into the hearse and driven 11 miles to the Staples Center where the rest of the memorial will be taking place, causing major freeways to be shut down at the peak morning rush hour and surface streets to be closed to commuters.
I just read an article on an AP news site with this headline: “Jackson’s public memorial takes a spiritual turn”. The opening paragraph said the public memorial “struck a tone more spiritual than spectacular Tuesday, opening with a church choir serenading his golden casket”. Serenading his casket.  Hey, now! How is that for spiritual!?  The only other “spiritual” references I came across were that Pastor Lucious W. Smith gave the invocation (not unusual for a man of the cloth to officiate at a funeral), Lionel Richie “gave a gospel-infused (a what?) performance in front of a shaft of light evoking a cross”, and to round out the spiritual theme the Rev. Al Sharpton’s name was included as being among “those who saluted Jackson”.
Coverage of Jackson’s death has gone on almost non-stop since it hit the news early on June 25, is still going on 13 days later and, if the media can find a way (and they will) to milk another few days out of it, who knows how much longer we will be expected to pay tribute.  In comparison, on November 22, 1963 John F. Kennedy, a United States president was killed by an assassin and the media coverage continued until he was buried on November 25th.
So who will be paying for this extravaganza? Will the Jackson family be chipping in to help defray some of the cost? Will AEG, the huge concert promoter, who, by the way, owns Stapley Center, be contributing any financial help?  How about the thousands of fans who won the tickets through a lottery drawing?  Might have been a smart idea to have the lottery, but require winners to pay $50 for the honor of attending this tribute to their idol.  Some of them were willing to pay a lot more than that for a ticket to his “comeback” tour.  And thousands who did purchase tickets for $125 say they would rather keep the tickets as a souvenir than get a refund.
Well, none of the above will be paying a dime. So who will?   It’s you!! You hard working, tax-paying citizens of Los Angeles, a city that is already up to its ear lobes in debt.  The cost is estimated at $3.8 million and going up.  Who knows what the final tab will be.
There is a city councilman by the name of Dennis Zine who appears to be keeping his head when all about him are losing theirs.  He is speaking out about the cost of this “tribute” to a city that is facing a $530m budget deficit.  “If the Jackson family’s gonna’ spend $25,000 on a gold casket I would think that AEG and the Jackson family could help defray the costs”, Zine said.  He went on to say of AEG, “They were going to do the tour.  They’re talking about marketing the rehearsal.  AEG is going to, one way or another, make a lot of money’”.  Citizens of LA should be paying tribute to him Councilman Zine.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, is asking fans to give a tax-deductible donation to the city to help cover the cost.  Good luck with that, your honor.
And the beat goes on.  And the beat goes on.

Completely Eewww

This picture, which has been running along with articles about Perez Hilton’s alleged assault in Toronto, is not a photo of the result of this alleged assault but was on a web site back in January.  If you watched his video where he goes on for almost 12 minutes about the fact that “violence is NEVER the answer’ you will not see a black eye like the one in the picture.  In fact, if you look closely there seems to be a slightly dark area on his left eye that looks somewhat fake. 
Hilton claims he hurled a homophobic slur at Will.I.Am because he felt physically threatened and “did what I thought was best at the moment to stand up for myself in a non-violent yet assertive way”.  How crazy is that kind of thinking?  Guess his theory back-fired on him. 
Feeling “physically threatened”, instead of placing an emergency call to Toronto police Hilton Twittered (Wow! What an apt term in connection with Hilton)  about his predicament asking his followers to notify the police.   Which they did.  By the dozens.
A skeptic might think all of this was done for publicity.
As it turns out, Will.I.Am was not the culprit who gave Hilton a much needed swat.  It was the Black Eyed Peas’ manager Polo Molina who was arrested by Toronto police and is now being sued by Hilton.  He is suing to protect his right to free speech and seeking $25,000 in unspecified damages.
It has been reported that Hilton is having trouble getting brands to advertise on his site (meaning less money earned) because of his snarky comments and loose cannon ways.  Don’t be surprised if Hilton sells out and tames his blog.  Of course, this ploy may back-fire on him as well, because whether people love him or hate him his “Queen Bitch” ways are all that keep them reading his blog.  Taming it down and losing his following doesn’t seem to be one of his better ideas.
