Celebrity Biography: Elizabeth Banks
Elizabeth Banks is making a splash lately, especially with her two newest films: ‘W,’ Oliver Stone’s new flick about George W. Bush where Banks plays the (soon to be former) first lady, and ‘Zack and Miri Make a Porno.’
Banks was born Elizabeth Mitchell and hails from Pittsfield, Massachusetts on February 10th, 1974. She studied acting An the Univeristy of Pennsylvania and the American Conservarory Theater in San Francisco.
She got her career started in New York with bit parts in TV series and small parts in movies. Thing really got moving in 2002 with Spiderman and Catch Me if You followed by Seabiscuit.
Other roles have included a role on NBC’s Scrubs, Invincible with Mark Wahlberg, Tandhe 40-Year-Old Virgin (with her Zack and Miri costar Seth Rogen.)
She’s married to her college sweetheart, Max Handelman.
