Does One Prejean Trump A Trump?

Who is right? Carrie Prejean or “Trump and Associates”. Two pretty different versions of the firing of Miss California.
The Miss Universe Pageant is owned by Trump and NBC. This isn’t the first time a winner in the Miss Universe Pageant has been dethroned. In 2006 Tara Connor, who won the title of Miss USA lost her crown because of illegal drug use, excessive drinking and publicly kissing Miss Teen USA. Trump initially stood by her saying, “I’ve always been a believer in second chances”. Seems Connor didn’t use her second chance wisely and was eventually dethroned.
Now we have the Carrie Prejean saga. During the pageant, Prejean was asked her opinion of same sex marriage and stated that she opposed it. First of all, it seems that the question was inappropriate. Secondly, how was she supposed to answer it? Should she have stated her honest opinion? Lied and said she was in favor of it? Declined to answer it? As it turned out her answer created quite an uproar and Prejean claims the reason for her firing was because of her stance on Prop. 8. She also said, “They don’t like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted”.
Now, we come to the Trump version of the Prejean dethroning. True to his belief in second chances Trump did initially stand by Prejean in the face of the same-sex-marriage answer and reportedly scandalous pictures of the beauty queen. He indicated that her answer was “honest” and the pictures that were taken were “fine”.
Well, it seems that Prejean, like Connor, used up her second chance. She was fired because, according to Trump, she was not honoring her contract with the Miss California Organization. So what’s the true story here? Was it failure to live up to her contract or too much heat on the Trump organization because of her answer to a question that never should have been asked in the first place?
