Levi Johnson and Kathy Griffin
Granted, Kathy Griffin likes to be outrageous. That’s her way of covering up the fact that she’s really not all that talented. Her latest absurdity was taking Levi Johnston to the 2009 Teen Choice Awards as her date. At 49, Griffin is far removed from the teen category. Johnston just squeaks by at 19.
Worse than the awards fiasco was the train wreck interview Griffin did with Johnston when she guest-hosted Larry King Live. The interview fell so flat it needed an enormous spatula to scrap it up and toss it in a dumpster. Johnston appeared very uncomfortable through the entire “interview” while Griffin made continual references to their “relationship” seemingly in an attempt to get some witty play-along with Johnston. Didn’t happen. Johnston was either too embarrassed or just too dull and the entire thing was painful to watch.
Griffin has made a career of being a “D-List” performer. It would seem that Johnston’s career aspirations might land him in the same category. He has said he would like to pursue an acting and modeling career. Best he sticks to modeling.
