Jurrasic Park Author Michael Crichton Dies
Michael Chrichton, author of several best-selling novels including Jurrasic Park, The Andromeda Strain, Rising Sun and Sphere died in Los Angeles Tuesday from cancer.

Chrichton, a medical doctor, also created the hit TV series ER. He originally wrote the pilot for the show in 1974.

Chrichton, 66, was born in Chicago and grew up in New York. He married 5 times in his life, and had one child.
Private services will be held.
