Rachel McAdams – Biography
Rachel McAdams was born in London, Ontario Canada to a nurse and a truck driver. She had an eye on the spotlight from an early age, starting with competitive figure skating at the age of 4. The competition wore on her though, and she began looking toward acting. She kicked things off with summer theater camp at 13, and a few years later she found herself studying theater at York University.
She found small-screen stardom on Disney’s The Famous Jett Jackson and a few other made-for-tv-roles before making her big screen debut in My Name is Tanino. She went on to play high school chicks in The Hot Chick and Mean Girls, before teaming up with Ryan Gossling (her future ex-boyfriend) in Nicholas Sparks’ The Notebook.
Since then, she’s been in Red Eye, Wedding Crashers, and The Family Stone. Next up is The Time Traveler’s Wife, State of Play and Sherlock Holmes.
