Top Political Sex Scandals
In honor of the upcoming election day, I’ve put together a few of my favorite political sex scandals.
No list would be complete without Bill Clinton. He’s got the infmaous Oval Office blow job with Monica Lewinski, and alleged relationships with Gennifer Flowers and Paula Jones while he was the Governor of Arkansas.

Ted Kennedy, US Senator from Massachusetts, was involved with what became know as Chappaquiddick, where his late brother’s 29-year old former staffer Mary Jo Kopechne drowned when Kennedy’s car went off a bridge. Though many felt there was more to the story, Kennedy was convicted of leaving the scene and got a two month suspended sentce.
Gary Conduit, congressman from California has long been under suspicion for the murder of his intern, Chandra Levy, who was found dead in a Washington D.C. park.
Eliot Spitzer, former New York Governor, got involved with a high priced call girl ring.
Rudy Giuliani, former Mayor of New York, cheated on his wife while in office, apparently assigned state-funded security to his lover, and eventually moved her into the Governor’s Mansion.

Larry Craig, Republican Senator from Idaho, was caught trying to hook up with a gay man in an airport bathroom, though he continues to deny he’s gay.
Mark Foley, Republican Congressman from Florida, resigned during his sixth term after he was caught sending sexually explicit messages to a male House Page.

New Jersey Governor James Mcgreevey resigned his office after he admitted to having an affair with another man, also his Homeland Security advisor.
Gary Hart, former Democratic presidential candidate, ended his campaign after paprazzi caught him frolicking on a boat called Monkey Business with Donna Rice.
Strom Thurmond, the late senator and presidential candidate from Sout Carolina, apparently fathered a child with his African American maid who worked in his family home. Details were made public after his death at age 100.
