Lauren Tewes, better known as Julie McCoy on The Love Boat, hasn’t been up to a whole lot in recent years. After making her mark as the world’s most famous Cruise Director on The Love Boat, Tewes caught various TV roles on shows like The X Files, Who’s the Boss, Dark Justice and National Lampoon’s Attack of the 5 ft. 2 Women.
Following Lauren’s dismissal from “The Love Boat” in 1984, she spiraled into drug addiction. She has now been sober for many years and presently makes her living doing voice-overs and radio commercials. She says she used to spend 16 hours a day caring for her sick husband.
Recent updates have her working as a cheese steward in Washington state and performing in “Prayer for My Enemy” the Intiman Theatre Co. in Seattle.
