Born Tatiana Josivonvna Chernova Blacker, Tina Louise was born on February 11, 1934 in New York City, New York. She trained at the Actors Studio and got her big break on Broadway in Lil Abner.
Her biggest claim to fame, of course, was her role as the sexy castaway Ginger Grant on sixties sitcom Gilligan’s Island.
Though it was her biggest role, she grew to hate the show and refused to participate in any of the many Gilligan’s Island reunion shows. She also reportedly detested her co-star Dawn Wells (Mary Anne.)
Her last role was in 2004 when she played Celeste Clark in West from North Goes South. Yeah, I haven’t heard of it either.
Her daughter, Caprice Crane, is a Hollywood writer and is currently working on the ressurection of 90210.

Wow. I haven’t really wondered much about Ginger but now that you mention it I thought she would be old enough to be dead. Not bad looking (if that’s a fairly recent picture) for a 75 year
If she did something with her hair she wouldnt look half bad!
Call me crazy but I always thought Mary Ann was prettier….
